The Content Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of content marketing initiatives––as defined by the content strategy––designed to drive website traffic and engagement and generate and nurture raw and marketing qualified leads. Success in this role is measured based on defined quarterly and annual lead goals achieved through an omni channel content marketing approach. This includes webinars, blog posts, white papers, etc.
Reports to: Senior Marketing Communications Manager - Content Strategist
Location: Downtown Toronto
Create, curate, categorize, and execute content for a variety of asset types including, but not limited to: blogs, white-papers and long-form documents, eBooks, infographics, 1-pagers, videos, webinars, and others
Work with subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, vendors, analysts, and industry experts to develop and execute a thought leadership and product-centric webinar program
Apply a journalistic mindset to create, edit, deploy, and measure SEO optimized, industry relevant, accessible content curated based on market trends, past success, and data driven insights
Work with Content Strategist to plan quarterly content informed by intelligence from the performance of previously deployed content and campaigns
Apply a basic understanding of SEO (and work with SEO specialist) to optimize onsite content (i.e. blog content, landing pages)
Track and measure effectiveness of content using asset specific KPIs and metrics
Work with content strategist to build out and execute editorial calendar and organizational workflows
Work with Design and Digital Teams to ensure content campaigns are successfully executed (including the creation and delivery of direct email/newsletters and social promotions for campaigns)
Work with third-parties including analysts, partners, select vendors, industry-relevant bloggers, etc. on content exchanges, collaborations, partnerships, sponsorships, and co-branded content
2-5 years experience in a B2B content creation role – ideally with experience in Learning Management Systems or elearning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Data driven approach to content measurement and success metrics
High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Basic understanding of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and onsite SEO optimization strategies
Facility with WordPress and other content authoring tools
Capable of managing competing deadlines and priorities
Highly organized and accountable
Knowledge of Salesforce, Asana, and Hubspot (or other Marketing Automation tools) is an asset
A second language (French/Spanish/Italian) is an asset
